Lost in Boji Cottage off West Lake Okoboji

A darling home in the woods just across the road from Lake Okoboji. With a cup of coffee on the patio you can view deer, turkeys, squirrels, birds every morning. We were there for 2 weeks and there were a few disappointments. The dishwasher had no drying cycle, there was a lovely bar setup but no wine/cocktail gladses in the house. Two things that were very disappointing: the quilt on the queen bed had brown stains. We washed it and it cleaned up. The other thing was that there are no closets in he house. Since we were there 2 weeks we purchased a rolling rack and left it for the next group.

The rental company was a pleasure to work with and we will use them again next year.However the home owner needs to be brought up on what should be included in a premium rental. For starters, the master bedroom has 2 night stands with out lamps on them, so only one overhead light in the room. There isn't a single place in the home to hang up clothes, not a single hanger and no chest of drawers. How about a TV in the Master bedroom??? The bath rooms only have a hook to hang your bath towel no place to hang up and dry your hand towels, no Kleenex was provided. No hair dryer either. The kitchen was very sparsely furnished. All Black Plastic dinnerware!!! No glasses for wine, beer, etc. no serving pieces. Tha BBQ grill worked but again no utensils for cooking out, no trays for caring food back and forth. There is no light or vent above the oven, and the back right burner doesn't work.Again no metal utensils for cooking just cheap plastic. The family room only has seating for 3 people!! Not very inviting or comfortable for the 4 adults who stayed there. Both bedroom were missing lamps and had cheap dirty rugs and weren't inviting..... The outdoor furniture is 6 chairs only no tables to eat or drink off. Really cheap for such great view. Make this wonderful place more family friendly and include the standard comforts you would find in a short term rental and then you'll have return visitors.

Had a nice stay, the property was nice, lots of wildlife. A bit lacking in towels for the number of bedrooms. We would stay here again.

Overall stay was good. Property was a little dusty and some cobwebs on the kitchen cabinets and dust balls under the upstairs bed.

We enjoyed our quick vacation with friends. Comfortable place to stay.
