The Lakeside Lookout on Gingles Point

We enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday weekend with all of our kids and grandkids! There was room for all of us to play games, watch college football, share meals, and just enjoy each other's company. A big thumb's up!

The property could use updated photos to give a better idea on the space available in each of the rooms. It ended up being a little tight for our large family. Cleanliness could also be improved. Upon arrival, we found dirty clothes in one of the bathroom closets and the dishes were in the dishwasher but not clean. Communications leading up to our stay were fine. However, we had paid the add-on of a late checkout, but we were given less than 24-hour notice that they would no longer be able to honor it and we were provided a refund - advanced notice of this would have been appreciated. The biggest plus of this place is the location! You’re in the heart of all the fun the Okoboji area has to offer. The property also has a lovely shaded backyard space to enjoy the lake.

We enjoyed our stay. Pictures need to be uploaded to show actual size of rooms. Pictures were a bit deceptive.

This is a great house. In a good location. And the rental company was very responsive to any questions we had. Will use them again in future.

Property was not up to my standards for cleanliness. Inside kitchen drawer, under the sick, and the oven were filthy.
